Along with its compact size, the T 9.5 S can help protect your joints as you exercise. Dimensions/Storability

Some treadmills are difficult to fold up, either because they are heavy or because they need to be secured by a spring-loaded pin. Thankfully, the NordicTrack T 9.5 S treadmill has none of these problems and is very easy to fold up.

Once the deck is raised up high enough, the deck of the T 9.5 S will lock into place automatically. To release the deck, just push up a bit as you press the release latch and set back. The treadmill deck can descend on its own and won’t come thumping down.

When the T 9.5 S is folded, there are two transport wheels that make it easy to move. All you need to do is tilt the treadmill back to engage those wheels and you can easily move it to your desired location.

The T 9.5 S is 78.9” L x 35.5” W x 59.4” H, making it a fairly compact machine. It should work well in most homes or larger-sized apartments.

The deck profile is fairly low as well so it should work great with as low as 8 foot ceilings.

One of the most obvious features that people notice right away on the NordicTrack T 9.5 S treadmill is the extra-large 14-inch display that comes built into the console. The display is a touchscreen display, allowing you to swipe and tap your way through the various settings, programs, user profiles, and more.

iFit

One of the features that most people end up loving is the workout videos that feature the various NordicTrack iFit trainers. With these trainers’ encouragement and guidance, you can tackle a wide variety of workouts. Sometimes, these workouts focus on incline training, while others take a full-body fitness approach.

There is a mix of in-studio workouts where you can exercise like you are in a group exercise class, and other iFit videos take you all around the world for workouts.

There is also a thriving iFit community that creates workouts, shares challenges, and overall encourages each other as they work toward their various goals.

OnBoard Workouts

There is a maximum weight capacity of 300 pounds on the T 9.5 S treadmill. It is best not to go over this amount, as this treadmill is not rated for users who weigh more than 300 lbs, but the T 9.5 S is tough enough to support many users through workouts, even if they are on the upper end of 200+ pounds.

Motor

A continuous horsepower (CHP) motor measures how much continuous power the motor can generate when under a load, which is a better measurement than just horsepower alone. So you can feel confident when using the T 9.5 S treadmill, as it comes with a 3.6 CHP DurX commercial plus motor.

The tough, commercial motor will carry you through many workouts, whether you are going on an endurance run or doing a high-energy HIIT workout.

Belt

A commercial treadmill belt comes with the NordicTrack T 9.5 S treadmill. This tougher treadmill belt provides you with a durable surface to workout on and won’t wear down like other non-commercial belts.
As for the measurements, the T 9.5 S treadmill belt measures 20” wide by 60” long. With that amount of workout space, you should feel fairly comfortable as you use this treadmill.

Speed

There is plenty of speed available on the T 9.5 S, allowing you to go from 0.5 MPH all the way up to 12 MPH. You can choose your speed using the buttons along the console side, which will move your speed up or down by whole number integers. Or, if you want incremental adjustments, you can use the arrows at the base of your console to go by 0.1 integers.

Incline

The incline range available on the T 9.5 S treadmill goes from 0% to 12%, and the treadmill moves smoothly from one incline to another. You can choose your incline using the buttons along the left side of the console, which will move your incline up or down by whole numbers of integers. Or, if you want incremental adjustments, you can use the arrows at the base of your console to go by 0.5 integers.

With NordicTrack treadmills, you always get good warranty coverage on your machine. The warranty that comes with the T 9.5 S treadmill provides you with a ten-year warranty on the frame and motor of the treadmill, along with a 5-year parts warranty and a 2-year labor warranty. The T 9.5 S is built for people who need a compact treadmill but also want tech built into the machine. With the integrated iFIT workouts, this treadmill offers just that.

My only hesitancy in recommending this treadmill is that it is so similarly priced as the NordicTrack Commercial 1250 and 1750, which overall are better treadmills. The biggest difference between these machines is that the commercial series treadmill will be a bit larger, but also a bit more powerful.
