Finding the best treadmill is challenging. There are many factors to think about. Your space, budget, and training goals should all be considered. I’m sure the F85 treadmill from Sole will check most of your boxes if not all.
This treadmill has a powerful motor to handle tough workouts, an inclining and declining deck, and streaming from Netflix. Not to mention, it’s quiet and folds up, so this 300 lb beast can work in most homes.
Does it sound too good to be true? Maybe, but Sole treadmills have been exceeding our expectations for years, and the latest updates to the F85 make this running machine a top treadmill to consider. I have a few qualms, but overall, it keeps me coming back for more Netflix and running.

You may want to update this one more time. New model as of 2021 has touch screen.
You are right! The new 2021 model has a 10″ LCD touch panel and Android system. However, this screen operates a bit differently than the video touchscreens on other treadmills. The screen displays User Profile, Heart Rate, Speed, Pace, and Calories. It also has 7 built in apps like YouTube and Netflix! But it doesn’t have video content like iFit or Peloton.
Hi. Great review, though could you comment on the rate at which treadmill speed can be changed? For example if a workout requires a 30sec effort at a high speed, how quickly can the F85 react to ramping the speed up and then down again?
Andrew,
Good question! This is a bit hard to quantify since it depends on a few factors, but our new Sole F85 arrived this week and I plan to test it tomorrow. I’ll assess how quickly it changes speed in between settings and get back to you!
Be careful, the Canadian version does not come with the touchsceen, they are selling the old version. I am returning mine for the reason
I received my F85 and per the new manual it appears that the deck warranty has been dropped from lifetime to five years! Can you verify this?
You are correct. We just received the 2021 F85 this week and the new manual lists the warranty as: Lifetime for frame and drive motor, 5 years deck and other components and 2 years for labor.
We don’t presume this to be a durability issue. Instead, it is probably due to the fact that available parts and technology change so fast that after 5 years it’s hard to get the parts needed to repair the deck. However, it is valuable to know the updated warranty details. We’ll include that in our review of the 2021 model.
Hello! I just received my new Sole (9/2/2021) and the included manual (updated 2/2021) also stated 5 year deck warranty while everything online states lifetime. I called Sole directly and they told me that it was a misprint – they sent me a new, updated manual showing lifetime warranty on the deck. I bought mine directly from Sole – the warranty may differ if bought from Dick’s. Anyhow, just confirming that it’s still lifetime! Yay Sole!
Hello! I am strongly considering this but am between this and the x22i Commercial. My biggest need is the ability to be able to mimic GPX routes with incline/decline. Does this treadmill do that?
